Abstract: Presentation of the FAMOSOS project Problem / Challenge• Every year, European agriculture costs 13.8 billion in water pollution.Nearly 25% of groundwater fails quality standards due to nitrogen contamination.• Current nitrogen regulations use simple input budgets, ignoring how different soils and climates actually behave.• This one size fits all approach is failing our environment and economy. We need science based solutions that account for real time soil monitoring.
