Sustainable Strategies for Entrepreneurial Businesses

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Sustainable entrepreneurship has become a strategic necessity as global challenges such as climate change and resource depletion demand innovative, ethical, and circular business models. This study examines how entrepreneurial firms develop and implement sustainable strategies within circular economic systems and how these strategies enhance innovation, competitiveness, and longterm resilience. Using a qualitative comparative approach, two case studies Patagonia and Tesla were analysed to identify key mechanisms linking sustainability and strategic advantage. Data were collected from peer-reviewed literature and corporate sustainability reports, and thematically analysed to highlight patterns of circularity, innovation, and ethical leadership. Findings reveal that Patagonia’s values-based model promotes consumer co-responsibility through ethical production, while Tesla’s technology-driven approach enables large-scale industrial transformation. Both demonstrate that sustainability-oriented business models strengthen resilience and ethical positioning by aligning environmental commitment with innovation capability.
