Abstract: including original research articles, reviews, perspectives, and Advancing Through Innovation articles.The manuscripts of all of these articles (plus others ultimately rejected) passed through the hands of peer reviewers who thoughtfully and conscientiously evaluated our many submissions, made recommendations to the editors, and guided authors in making revisions to strengthen their work.The journal's success in publishing research that meets the highest standards of quality and integrity depends on our reviewers, who represent a wide range of disciplines and come from across North America and around the world.The peer reviewers' timely submission of reviews is critical to the fact that, in 2025, the average time from submission of a manuscript to the first decision was 21 days.The average time a manuscript spent in the entire review process (which could include more than one review of a revised manuscript) was 52 days.In 2025, the JDE received over 1,000 article submissions; for those manuscripts that went through peer review, our reviewers collectively submitted over 2,400 reviews.
