18F-FDG PETCT in a Patient With Succinate Dehydrogenase-Deficient Renal Cell Carcinoma

Abstract: A 32-year-old man presented with a left renal mass incidentally found during a recent health examination. Renal cell carcinoma was highly suspected by the subsequent abdominal enhanced CT scan. The renal tumor exhibited extremely intense 18 F-FDG uptake on the 18 F-FDG PET/CT. Radical nephrectomy was performed, and the diagnosis of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH)-deficient renal cell carcinoma (SDH-deficient RCC) was confirmed by the histopathology and genetic analysis.
