Type: review
Abstract: Integrating specialized nurses into the clinical implementation pathways of multidisciplinary treatment (MDT) for cancer in China holds significant importance. This paper systematically analyzes the development of cancer MDT in China, the current status of specialized nurses' participation in cancer MDT domestically and internationally, their core roles, and the challenges they face. Based on the characteristics of China's healthcare system, it proposes optimization strategies including institutional empowerment, capacity building, performance incentives, and standard restructuring. The aim is to provide references for promoting the deep involvement of specialized nurses in MDT, enhancing the quality of cancer patient diagnosis and treatment, and improving the continuity of nursing services, thereby offering practical evidence for refining and promoting China's cancer MDT model.
