South-to-south collaboration: the role of healthcare experience exchange programs in building robust and reliable health systems in the global south
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Although the South-South Cooperation has been recognized as a vital component of the sustainable development goals, there are too few articles that document the benefits of such a collaboration with most of them focused on research and none of them focused on describing capacity building among health professionals nor on health system strengthening through South-South Cooperation. This article covers the importance of healthcare professionals' educational and capacity building exchange programs in the global South.
