Nanosponges: Smart Nanoarchitectures for Enhanced Therapeutic Efficacy
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Nano sponges are a developing class of nanoscale drug delivery carriers premeditated to overcome foremost pharmaceutical boundaries such as poor water solubility, low bioavailability, and unrestrained drug release. They are composed of crosslinked, porous polymeric agendas containing nanometre-sized cavities capable of integrating both hydrophilic and lipophilic drugs. Their one-of-a-kind three-dimensional network allows for regulated and targeted discharge of therapeutic agents, which increases effectiveness and reduces side effects. You can give nano sponges in a number of ways, including by mouth, on the skin, through the lungs, and through the skin. It's because they tend to be biocompatible, stable in structure, and can be used in a variety of ways. Long-term investigations show that they possess a lot of possibilities for delivering vaccines, enzymes, and other biocatalytic, antimicrobial, and anticancer compounds to specific places. Nano sponge innovation is a new and adaptable way to make intellectual delivery mechanisms for drugs better, which makes them work better and helps patients more.
