Abstract: BACKGROUNDRadiation therapy is an essential component of definitive treatment for advanced and high-risk solid malignancies of the pelvis.It is often delivered in conjunction with systemic treatments or surgery and thus requires careful coordination across specialties to optimize patient outcomes.Typically, pelvic radiotherapy consists of approximately 5 weeks of treatment (over 25-30 individual sessions) with the intent of providing elective radiation to pelvic lymph node basins at risk of microscopic metastatic disease.
