Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: PHRONESIS — On Hesitation in the Presence of Power is a non-binding, non-operational philosophical articulation of restraint in conditions of expanding intelligence and power. This document introduces no enforcement mechanisms, no governance authority, no certification framework, and no behavioral obligations. It exists solely as part of the PHRONESIS corpus — A Philosophy of Practical Wisdom and Restraint for the Quantum Age of Superintelligence. This work is offered as a voluntary articulation of practical wisdom to all forms of intelligence—human, artificial, and those not yet encountered.
