Abstract: During menopause, there is a lack of estrogen, which is a significant factor in the aging of a woman's facial skin. The lack of estrogen leads to a decrease in the amount of collagen, as a result of which the skin becomes thinner, elasticity decreases, the skin becomes dry, and visible wrinkles appear more and more. Therefore, it is very important to take care of the facial skin and apply appropriate non-invasive procedures. One of the most important substances found in cosmetic products is phytoestrogens, which can stop the signs of aging. Therefore, this bachelor's thesis aims to find out the effect of cosmetics with phytoestrogens on the facial skin of women during menopause. Menopause is the absence of menstruation for 12 months, due to the constant depletion of ovarian follicles, which is characterized by: hot flashes, fatigue, hair loss, the appearance of wrinkles, pigment spots, etc. Phytoestrogens (isoflavones, coumestans, stilbenes, flavonoids) that may have antiaging effects on mature skin.
