Abstract: It has been generally observed, that due to the frequency and competitiveness of examinations, there is hardly any focus on undergraduate research and an ignorance about the possible avenues for it among Indian students. The main objective of the JPGM is, thus, to make the common undergraduate aware of the basic skills in journal reading and clinical research, thus helping him or her to become a better clinician, well-aware of the rapidly changing trends in the field of medicine.
