Year: 2024
Type: preprint
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate potential barriers and facilitators to individuals of Color’s decision of whether or not to participate in online mental health research studies. We will collect both quantitative and qualitative data through survey questions in order to gain insight into the thoughts and emotions that individuals of Color experience when deciding whether or not to participate in online mental health research studies. We are also leveraging the Theoretical Domains Framework to help us better understand participants' motivation to participate or not participate in online mental health research studies. This information may be used to facilitate greater representation of people of Color in future online mental health studies.
