Additional file 1 of Genetic architecture of backfat thickness in laying hens: implications for extended egg production
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Additional file 1: Table S1. Numbers of phenotypic records for each traita (the diagonal) and for each pair of traits (below the diagonal), number of sires with hens with phenotypic records in brackets. Displays number of records per trait or pair of traits, with the associated number of sires in brackets. Table S2. Heritabilities (the diagonal) and genetic correlations (below the diagonal) reported in Table 2, together with phenotypic correlations (above the diagonal), for all the traits. Repeats the heritabilities and genetic correlations mentioned in the text and Table 2, but this time with phenotypic correlations above the diagonal. Table S3. Estimated fixed effect and heritabilities according to the model with the fixed effect of the lead SNP from the GWAS for BFT (not reported in the manuscript) and without (reported in Table 2), for all the traits. Repeats the heritabilties reported in the text, Table 2 and Table S2, with the addition of the heritabilities estimated by the multivariate analyses with the fixed effect of the lead SNP for BFT. As shown, the estimates are stable to the inclusion of the effect of the lead SNP for BFT. Table S4. Estimates of the segregation analysis parameters for BFT, adjusted for the effect of the lead SNP identified in the GWAS. Displays the results of the second segregation analysis or BFT adjusted from the effect of the lead SNP from the GWAS.
