Joint pain and hidradenitis suppurativa: a retrospective cohort study

Abstract: Joint pain was reported by 37% of patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) at our single-centre HS clinic. However, only one-quarter of those reporting joint pain had a diagnosis of arthritis. Presence of joint pain did not differ based on HS disease severity. Patients who reported joint pain had worse Dermatology Life Quality Index scores.
