Abstract: The article studies the degree of resistance to wilt upon inoculation of plants with more virulent strains of Verticillium and Fusarium fungi in the parental forms, the F2 hybrids and the F2B4 backcross hybrids, as well as background morphological-economic, physiological-biochemical and molecular tests for assessing genotypic wilt resistance. Proteinase inhibitors were determined in the parental forms and the F2 hybrids, and immunochemical analyses were carried out to reveal the relatedness of the parental forms and the hybrids and its connection with resistance to wilt. The studies examined collection variety samples of foreign and domestic breeding, as well as wild and ruderal forms, for wilt resistance upon inoculation of the host plant with more virulent strains of the Verticillium fungus.
