110P Pembrolizumab vs atezolizumab as first-line treatment for advanced NSCLC with PD-L1-expression ≥50%

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Pembrolizumab was incorporated into Denmark´s national guidelines for advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (aNSCLC) in 2017 and became standard first-line treatment for patients with programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression ≥50%. In 2021, atezolizumab was introduced for the same indication and deemed clinically equivalent, which led to a nationwide shift in preferred therapy from pembrolizumab to atezolizumab, driven by administrative and procurement decisions, rather than independent patient characteristics.
