332P Integrated transcriptomic profiling reveals limited immune microenvironment remodeling in pleural mesothelioma
Year: 2026
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Pleural mesothelioma is a rare malignancy with a poor prognosis, linked to asbestos. Chronic asbestos-induced inflammation provides a biological rationale for immunotherapy; however, responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) remain limited (10–20%), with no validated predictive biomarkers. Using RNA sequencing, we compared treatment-naïve tumors with samples obtained after chemotherapy and/or ICI to identify microenvironmental factors that may improve understanding of mesothelioma biology under therapeutic pressure.
