Modeling and Nonlinear Dynamic of Dual‐Rotor System With Misalignment During Aircraft Climbing Flight
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Misalignment of the dual‐rotor system in aeroengines may lead to abnormal vibration and rubbing faults between the rotor and the stator. The dynamic model of the dual‐rotor system with misalignment during aircraft climbing flight is presented in this paper. The dynamic equation of the dual‐rotor system is obtained from the Lagrange equation. The Runge–Kutta method is applied to find the solution to the dynamic equation of the system. The behavior of the rotor system with/without maneuvering load is examined, and the impact mechanism of the maneuvering load and the misalignment angle on the dynamic characteristics of the rotor system is revealed. This coupled modeling method has certain novelty in the overall consideration of rotor misalignment and maneuver load. The research results indicate that the maneuvering loads can decrease the system’s response types and affect the amplitude range, the trend, and the stability; interharmonics appear in the supercritical rotational speed zone; the growth in maneuver load aggravates the complex nonlinear phenomenon about the system. The research has important academic and engineering application value for rotor misalignment fault diagnosis and clearance design.
