Abstract: Religio-political despotism often permeates human society, dehumanising even the post-secular era. Conflicts, nurturing these, have caused irreparable damage to humanity, abetting anti-pro sentiments vis-à-vis a section of society. Wars thus waged have led to mass-slaughters of innocent people across the globe. A sense of empathy overlooks the clamour of its victims. India, with its many redeeming figures and philosophies, requires a perspective-renewal, inspired by the insights of Dr. Felix Wilfred on the self-emptying of Jesus Christ, fostering a respectful coexistence.
