Abstract: In this update we examine the selection of 15 drugs for the third cycle of Medicare price negotiations under the Inflation Reduction Act and analyze emerging evidence of the Most-Favored-Nation impact on global pharmaceutical access, including launch delays and market withdrawals. We also review recent research on the tension between US patient values and foreign health technology assessment frameworks and discuss the review of the first year of implementation of the Joint Clinical Assessment procedure in Europe.
