Nodal Existence Theory: Foundational White Paper
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This white paper introduces Nodal Existence Theory as a philosophical framework proposing that human purpose is neither divinely assigned nor subjectively constructed, but structurally determined by the functional role consciousness plays within a self-processing universe. Written as an accessible companion to the formal paper, it maps the cosmological architecture underlying the central claim, articulates four foundational pillars, distinguishes the framework from prior traditions in existentialism, theological thought, and secular humanism, and opens a research agenda for the interdisciplinary study of structural purpose.
