Abstract: Organizational agility is vital when responding to turbulent market environments, and effectiveness to ensure long-term competitiveness in the market. Generative Artificial Intelligence tools have been increasingly incorporated and infused into organizational processes due to their promising functions. This study has applied the Technology-Organization-Environment framework to examine various perspectives influencing the infusion of generative artificial intelligence tools and subsequently linked them to organizational agility and effectiveness. Data was collected through surveys, and 615 valid responses were collected. Structural equation modeling was applied to examine the data, and all eleven hypotheses are supported. Additionally, the total effect analysis revealed the top predictors of organizational effectiveness to be the infusion of generative artificial intelligence tools, market agility, and organizational learning. These findings stress that organizations must foster positive work culture and environments that embrace the integration of generative artificial intelligence into work processes while encouraging employees to work synergistically, such that the benefits from generative artificial intelligence can be translated into tangible outcomes that satisfy stakeholders and enhance the organization’s long-term competitive position.
