Abstract: The article examines the creative path of Professor Natalia Alekseevna Shabelnikova, who has devoted more than three decades to the study of the Far Eastern region. Attention is drawn to the fact that most of the work path is connected with the Vladivostok branch of the I. F. Shilov Far Eastern Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The merits of N. A. Shabelnikova in the creation of the scientific school "The History of law enforcement agencies and special services in the Russian Far East" are noted. The contribution of Natalia Alekseevna, a teacher and scientist, to the development of education and science in the Russian Far East is analyzed.
