Abstract: This paper aims to discuss the use of Experimental Archaeology to study the prehistoric engravings of the Tagus Valley Rock Art Complex. For this, we take as example the experimental work carried out in the context of investigations concerning the Cachão do Algarve, one of the most notorious sites of that complex.
