19P Design and evaluation of nanobodies targeting the human tumor protein TCTP

Abstract: Translationally controlled tumor protein TCTP plays an important role in key oncogenic processes, due to its involvement in anti-apoptotic pathways and its functional antagonism with the pro-apoptotic protein p53. Moreover TCTP is overexpressed in several types of cancer highlighting its relevance as an important therapeutic target. On the other hand, nanobodies derived heavy-chain antibodies represent powerful tools for both diagnostic and therapeutic applications. This aims to design, produce and evaluate nanobodies targeting human TCTP.
