Abstract: While patients who visit our clinic might experience unresolved photosensitivity with blurred vision, the same stress factors, hormonal changes, lack of proper sleep, diet, or sensory stimuli can trigger migraine headaches, whether with or without an aura.A rarer type of migraine, known as a retinal migraine, is characterized by repeated monocular vision disruptions.Chronic migraine is classified under International Classification of Headache Disorders, 3rd edition (ICHD-3) as a condition in which a patient has headaches for a minimum of 15 days a month, with migraine features on at least eight of those days.4 Identification and intervention for these specific migraine types are based on knowing the subtypes deeply. In the case of migraines, visual symptomatology often complicates the correct medical diagnosis, since a lot of physicians might completely ignore the condition.Still, the nature and pathophysiology of migraines should facilitate better clinical diagnosis and management strategies.
