Abstract: We thank the authors1 for their thoughtful and collegial response to our study2 and for their interest in translating these epidemiologic findings into clinically actionable strategies. We are encouraged by their recognition of serostatus as a key prognostic factor in rheumatoid arthritis (RA)–associated respiratory mortality, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify several methodological considerations.
