Constructing curricula in teacher education: the national as part of the European framework

Abstract: This paper is dealing with teacher education and the development of curricula in this scientific area at different cycles (undergraduate - postgraduate). After an analysis of relevant literature, the paper considers how the findings of the research can help in the construction of a curriculum, specifically at master's level. As a level of specialization what options exist and what negotiations can be done to make the curriculum meet contemporary challenges and needs. Once it has been set up, in a second phase, the satisfaction of the students who choose it is examined. The discussion highlights both the achievements and the challenges that have to do with both the teachers and the students of the program.
