Premature Evaluation and False Stabilization: A Minimal Synthetic Stress Test Under Distributed Evidence
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This technical note presents a minimal synthetic stress test designed to examine whether premature evaluation can produce locally readable outputs while reducing fidelity to the full evidential structure of a process. A controlled synthetic setting with distributed evidence is introduced, using three evidence families (easy-local, distributed-integration, reversal-conflict) and four evaluative interfaces (EARLY, MID, FULL, FORCED EARLY COLLAPSE). The results show a clear structural asymmetry: early readability may remain aligned with final structure in easy-local cases, but under distributed or conflictual evidence, forced early collapse can produce outputs that appear locally stable while remaining structurally inferior to the full evidential regime. The note is strictly diagnostic and does not propose a general cognitive theory.
