The Zero-Factor Law: A Unified Pattern Across System Failures
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Across five distinct domains — identifiability, measurement degradation, stability, trust, and autonomy — the same structure emerges: in each case, a product of two factors determines whether a system functions. If either factor reaches zero, the system does not degrade — it collapses. The magnitude of the remaining factor is irrelevant. This is not a domain-specific observation: it is a general structural pattern revealing identical logic beneath different questions.
