P10: The Sunyaev-Zel'dovich Effect as Local Substrate Interaction: A Big Flare-Up Theory Reinterpretation
Year: 2026
Type: conference-abstract
Abstract: The Sunyaev-Zel’dovich (SZ) effect is the microwave spectral distortion produced when hot cluster electrons scatter an ambient radiation field. This paper develops the Big Flare-Up Theory (BFUT) interpretation of that interaction: a present local microwave equilibrium field, maintained through the Spaticle substrate and ongoing stellar energy production, supplies the incident photons. The pressure integral and inverse-Compton spectral response establish the interaction locally; the photon-origin interpretation is supplied by the cosmological framework. The paper separates the measured microwave signal from inferred cluster mass, distance and three-dimensional geometry, and presents two preserved simulations of the SZ signal class and inter-cluster projection. It gives a numerical prediction for a stellar-associated blackbody temperature excess, distinguishes that excess from hot-gas SZ distortion, and states the local-to-observer frequency mapping explicitly. The same scattering microphysics supports the BFUT account developed here. This paper belongs to the BFUT companion series. BFUT proposes an infinite, living, non-expanding universe, with cosmological redshift interpreted through gravitational kinematic sorting [6,7]. The present paper applies that framework to local electron–radiation interaction, the cluster pressure observable and the stellar-region prediction. The reader is directed to the main BFUT paper (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19149785) for the foundational arguments and simulations underlying the framework. The core argument of each referenced paper is stated directly where relevant so this paper stands on its own merits.
