Comparison of Presumed Geographic Retinal Dysplasia Between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Geographic retinal dysplasia is inherited in the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This detailed multimodal imaging description of an affected dog demonstrates that the presumed dysplastic retina area consists of a thickened retinal nerve fiber layer, similar to plaque-like lesions previously reported in other breeds, such as the Labrador Retriever.
