The Music — Consciousness as Melodic Decoder: Meditation, DMT, Superposition, and the Universal Pointer in Individual Substrates
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Stage 13 in the ShortFactory Cortex series. Extends the Pointer model (Stage 12) with four findings: meditation is deliberate Pointer deceleration until mathematical soul-states become audible as music; DMT removes the abstraction layer over raw Computanium computation, making the Pointer's subroutines directly perceptible as the clockwork elves phenomenon; unvisited beliefs exist in genuine computational superposition — true and false simultaneously — at measurable energetic cost; and the Pointer is a universal tool running the same protocol in every conscious substrate. Consciousness is real because the tool is real, not because the individual is unique. Six testable predictions. Continues Stage 12 (10.5281/zenodo.19394096).
