Abstract: Screen-printed disposable electrodes constructed from carbon ink modified with Nickel(II) terephthalate metal–organic framework (MOF(Ni-TPA)) and graphene oxide (GO) were used as a simple and cost-effective analytical tool for dye detection in environmental testing samples. The electrochemical behavior of the analytes was investigated by cyclic voltammetry over a potential range of 0.0 to 0.9 V and at a scan rate of 0.05 V s −1 , using 0.1 mol L −1 phosphate buffer solution as supporting electrolyte. During the anodic sweep, two distinct oxidation peaks were observed at 0.45 V and 0.7 V, corresponding to the electro-oxidation of acid blue 29 (AB29) and reactive black 5 (RB5), respectively. Under optimized square wave voltammetry (SWV) conditions, the screen-printed sensing platform exhibited linear responses in the ranges 8.0 × 10 −8 to 1.8 × 10 −6 mol L −1 for AB29 and 8.0 × 10 −8 to 1.1 × 10 −6 mol L −1 for RB5. The detection limits were 9.4 × 10 −9 mol L −1 for AB29 and 6.2 × 10 −9 mol L −1 for RB5. The proposed sensor demonstrated excellent selectivity, sensitivity, stability, reproducibility, and repeatability, in addition to being relatively inexpensive and highly resistant to common interferences when applied in SWV measurements. Furthermore, the sensor exhibited excellent analytical performance when applied in real matrices, achieving recovery rates close to 100% in environmental sample analyses.
