Abstract: The function of platelets in the pathogenesis of paediatric tuberculosis remains elusive. In this study, we demonstrate that young children with tuberculosis have an elevated platelet count and platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR), as well as a decreased mean platelet volume (MPV), highlighting the significance of these parameters in the diagnosis and prognosis of tuberculosis in children.
