Successful pregnancy following two-stage hysteroscopic myomectomy in women with diffuse uterine leiomyomatosis: a case report and literature review
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Diffuse uterine leiomyomatosis is frequently misdiagnosed, highlighting the need to improve awareness and understanding of this rare condition. We report a case of a 29-year-old nulliparous woman presenting with menorrhagia who was diagnosed with diffuse uterine leiomyomatosis and underwent a two-stage hysteroscopic myomectomy. She subsequently conceived naturally and delivered a healthy full-term infant. In addition, we review the existing literature on diffuse uterine leiomyomatosis to enhance its diagnosis and management.
