Abstract: The Left finds itself in a situation of defeat. How should it respond? Chantal Mouffe argues in favor of pursuing populism while also highlighting green issues—which in turn should be linked to as many other issues from the arsenal of social movements as possible. This article argues that such a more is more strategy has already proven ineffective and will not work in the future either. Instead, the Left should prepare with a less is more strategy for a post-populist moment in which other issues will take precedence.
