Year: 2026
Type: dissertation
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to survey the current services available to neurodivergent students in academic libraries. Informational interviews with librarians from academic libraries across the United States provide the data for this narrative and phenomenological study that aims to convey the steps that libraries have taken to accommodate neurodivergent students thus far. Understanding the current state of these services is essential to defining next steps for improving and innovating new services for this population. This study will provide a better understanding of the role of academic libraries in neurodivergent students’ success and inspire further research and necessary change.
