Abstract: Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, one of India’s foremost social reformers and the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, dedicated his life to establishing a society rooted in equality, justice, and fraternity. Born into a marginalised Dalit family, Ambedkar rose to become a global intellectual icon, advocating tirelessly for the upliftment of the oppressed through the transformative power of education and legal reform. His vision of social harmony was grounded in the belief that sustainable peace and national progress could only be achieved when all citizens, regardless of caste, class, or gender, were given equal access to opportunities, dignity, and rights.This document explores in depth the multifaceted role Dr. Ambedkar played in promoting social unity and empowerment. It highlights his emphasis on modern education as a tool to dismantle centuries-old caste hierarchies, his legal interventions that secured civil rights for the marginalised, his political activism that ensured representation for the voiceless, and his spiritual choice of Buddhism as a means of collective liberation.
