Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: I read with interest the recent article by Kolikof et al1 examining the relationship between emergency department (ED) boarding, crowding, and clinical error published in Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians Open. Their findings highlight an important operational challenge in emergency medicine and draw attention to the potential implications of crowding for patient safety.
