AGES: Algorithmic Global Equilibrium System for International Governance
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This paper introduces the AGES - Algorithmic Global Equilibrium System, a conceptual framework designed to enhance global governance through a data-driven and adaptive coordination mechanism among states. The model proposes an integrated system that combines quantitative indicators, algorithmic feedback loops, and institutional decision-support tools to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of international policies. AGES aims to address structural limitations of current multilateral governance architectures, particularly fragmentation, asymmetry in data quality, and delayed policy feedback. By introducing a structured algorithmic layer, the framework seeks to support more transparent, comparable, and adaptive global decision-making processes without replacing existing institutions. The paper outlines the theoretical foundations of the model, its structural components, and potential applications in international organizations, with a focus on feasibility, ethical considerations, and governance implications.
