Innovative Structural Design and Performance Analysis of Autonomous Planet Exploration Robot
Year: 2026
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: In recent years, the rapid development of robotics technology has provided new opportunities for the research and development of planetary exploration robots. This paper designs a wheeled planetary exploration robot with a terrain-adaptive structure, aiming to cope with complex and unstructured planetary environments. The robot integrates a rocker-bogie suspension, a two-degree-of-freedom camera gimbal, a four-wheel independent steering system, and a distributed drive system, improving driving stability and obstacle avoidance and hill climbing capabilities. Through static load analysis, overall finite element analysis, and dynamic performance analysis of key structural components, the structural strength, stiffness, and motion performance of the robot are comprehensively evaluated. The research results show that simulation tests indicate that the robot is expected to be applied to off-road driving and resource exploration in complex planetary environments, providing certain reference value for the research and development of planetary exploration robots.
