Chrysanthemum jeongseonense (Asteraceae), a new combination for an endemic Korean species
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: The generic name Chrysanthemum L. is conserved under the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants. Although most Korean taxa previously classified under Dendranthema have been transferred to Chrysanthemum, one endemic species, Dendranthema jeongseonense, has not yet been formally transferred to Chrysanthemum. To ensure nomenclatural consistency, the new combination Chrysanthemum jeongseonense (M. Kim & H. Jo) Y.-H. Ha & J.E. Jang is here proposed.
