Abstract: Learning Points There may be a probable association between IDA and TIA despite the absence of thrombocytosis. Early recognition, neuroimaging and appropriate haematologic correction can prevent unnecessary antithrombotic therapy and lead to complete recovery. Paediatricians should consider IDA in the differential diagnosis of acute neurological deficits in children.
