Abstract: The paper analyses the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in assessing credit risk in Indian banking sector. It argues that AI solutions result in a better analysis of loans, decrease the risk of defaults, boost operational efficiency and promote speed in decision-making processes of the banking system. The paper further covers various issues on data privacy and disclosure as well as on the implementation of AI systems in Indian banks. The study has concluded that the accuracy and effectiveness of the practices can be significantly boosted through AI implementation in credit risk management.
