Intra-personal Intelligence & Emotional Hijacking
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Intra-personal intelligence is the ability to understand one’s own thoughts, emotions, strengths, weaknesses, and goals. It helps individuals become self-aware, emotionally balanced, and capable of making wise decisions. Emotional hijacking occurs when strong emotions such as anger, fear, or stress take control of a person’s thinking, leading to impulsive reactions and poor judgment. Both concepts are closely related to emotional intelligence and personal development. Developing self-awareness and emotional control helps individuals manage stress, improve relationships, and maintain mental well-being. Practices like meditation, self-reflection, positive thinking, and emotional regulation can reduce emotional hijacking and strengthen intra-personal intelligence in daily life.
