Influence of the composition and production technology on the basic properties of waterproofing mastics

Abstract: Statement of the problem. The features of the structure and properties of mastic waterproofing, which is a liquid polymer-bitumen compositions of cold use with a high degree of protection, good adhesion, forming a continuous seamless membrane on the surface of building structures, are considered. Results and conclusion. The basic physical and mechanical properties of modern waterproofing mastic have been studied. During the assessment of the technological factors influencing the properties of the mastic, the most significant ones were identified, such as the accuracy of the dosage of the components, the parameters of mixing the mastic during cooking, cooking time and its temperature. The identified factors and the conducted studies of the physical and mechanical properties of mastics allowed us to recommend a coating that will have improved elastic deformation properties and thereby an extended service life.
