Analytical Positioning of the Public Analytical Notes Series (Versioned Mapping Document / Series Note 14)
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This versioned document provides an analytical positioning of notes in the Public Analytical Notes series. The document describes how individual notes may be characterised in terms of analytical orientation and analytical level. The purpose of the document is to provide a structured overview that may support navigation across notes with different analytical orientations and levels. The document builds on existing distinctions between analytical orientation and analytical level but does not further examine the relation between these concepts. The structure is modular and extendable, allowing additional notes to be added without retrospective modification of earlier entries. The document functions as a series-level mapping document within the broader S-MAF and criteriology research context. Version 2: Extended the analytical mapping with Series Notes 15–17 and refined the description of recurring analytical orientations across the series while preserving the modular and versioned structure of the document.
