A Structural Map of Human Psychic Processing GTCS
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This technical note develops a structural-regulatory map of human psychic processing within the General Theory of Cognitive Structuring (GTCS). The aim is not to replace psychological, clinical, phenomenological, or neuroscientific accounts, but to clarify how psychic material becomes available, weighted, attended, symbolically reorganized, blocked, or transformed under admissibility constraints. The note distinguishes information processing from psychic organization and treats human psychic processing as a recurrent architecture rather than a linear sequence from perception to thought to action. It identifies several interacting layers: manifestation, attention, significance, affect-like modulation, symbolic thinking, admissibility of transformation, overload, trajectory, identity, and regulatory outcome. The central claim is that human psychic change does not follow automatically from awareness, attention, explanation, or symbolic clarity. A psychic element may be processed, manifest, attended, significant, and symbolically clear while still remaining difficult or inadmissible to transform. The map therefore explains why psychic material may repeat, remain blocked, become defended, or require continuity-preserving conditions before transformation becomes possible. The report offers a minimal structural orientation for understanding how human psychic material becomes available, why it matters, how it is thought, why it may remain blocked, and under what conditions it may become transformable.
