Comparing differences in semantic priming with event-related potentials in delayed reading aloud and lexical decision tasks
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: • Effects of frequency and length on priming differ in lexical decision and reading aloud. • Association strength by itself predicts priming more poorly than interactions with other factors. • Prime words in lexical decision predict target words earlier than reading aloud. • The temporal/spatial pattern of ERPs did not predict association scores at the item level.
